The plan comes before the product
What you are saving for, and when you will need it, decides the portfolio. Nobody should be able to recommend you a fund before they know either of those things.
Financial advisory & investment insights
Kishor Insights works with professionals who are investing for the decades ahead — not the quarter ahead. We help you decide what to own, why you own it, and what to leave alone.
What we do
Advice, not products. We are not paid by a fund house to prefer one scheme over another, and we will tell you when the answer is to change nothing at all.
A portfolio put together around your goals and your actual tolerance for a bad year — then a monthly contribution you can sustain through one. Direct plans, so commission is not quietly eating your return.
A clear read on what you already hold: overlap between schemes, costs you are paying, risk you did not intend to take, and positions kept out of habit. You leave with a written view, whether or not you work with us afterwards.
What your target corpus actually needs to be once inflation is honest, how EPF and NPS fit alongside equity, and how the portfolio should shift as the date approaches — planned well before it does.
Holding periods, capital gains harvesting, and where an investment is best held so the after-tax return is the one that improves. Tax informs the plan; it never becomes the reason for it.
Approach
These are the ideas the advice rests on. If you disagree with them, we are probably not the right advisor for you — and it is better to find that out in the first meeting.
What you are saving for, and when you will need it, decides the portfolio. Nobody should be able to recommend you a fund before they know either of those things.
An expense ratio is a small number that becomes a large one over twenty years. We use direct plans, we tell you what we charge, and we do not earn anything from what you buy.
Portfolios are reviewed on a schedule, not on the news. Most reviews end with a small adjustment or none — that is a sign the plan is working, not that nothing is being done.
About
Kishor Insights is an independent financial advisory practice working with salaried professionals, consultants and business owners who are building wealth over decades rather than chasing a return this year.
The practice is deliberately small. You work with the same person at every review, so the context of your last conversation does not have to be re-explained. Advice is given in writing, with the reasoning attached, so you can go back and check what was decided and why.
We are compensated by our clients and by nobody else. There are no commissions behind the recommendations, and we will say plainly when we do not know something.
Contact
The first meeting is a conversation, not a pitch. Tell us roughly where you are and what you are working towards, and we will suggest a time to talk it through properly.
